THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED La Terza Restaurant Review:

THIS ESTABLISHMENT HAS CHANGED NAMES Another contribution to the L.A. dining scene by cult gastronomic figure Gino Angelini (Angelini Osteria), La Terza is a good fit for Third Street's low-key chic vibe. The modern, minimalist setting exhibited downstairs is softened a bit in the quieter upstairs dining room. While most dishes lean toward tradition, we find those venturing into innovative territory are as much on the mark as those based upon generations-old recipes. At lunch, dishes favor the casual and simple, with standouts including grilled radicchio ravioli and a lamb panini with goat cheese and arugula. At dinner, there's an extensive selection of pastas---the agnolotti filled with osso buco are marvelous little parcels of flavor---and entrées include grilled venison with wild mushrooms and blueberries, rotisserie duck, roasted branzino with white wine and black olives, and an intensely indulgent dish of veal kidneys and sweetbreads with brandy sauce and caramelized onions. Throughout the dining experience, the restaurant excels in its attention to quality, from an innovative and exciting list of wines (with far more bargains than most restaurants of this caliber) to a wonderful selection of perfectly ripe Italian cheeses. Among dessert standouts are zuppa inglese with brandy ice cream, and delicate ricotta fritters with sour cherry compote and mascarpone ice cream.
