La Toscana Ristorante & Bar Restaurant Review:

The Mori family has run this sophisticated dining establishment since 1985. It has been passed down to the new generation, who continue in their parents' footsteps serving classic Italian dishes elevated by topnotch ingredients. In 2014, the restaurant underwent an extensive facelift adding a lively bar area with a cool wine wall, big screen TV and stone counters. The dining room now has a stylish gas fireplace and an adjoining patio includes a retractable awning for all environments. Chef Giovanni Raccanello cooks the specialties of Lucca, in a nod to the Mori family's roots. Gnocchi, veal scallopini, ravioli and cannelloni as well as pappardelle with wild boar sugo are not to be missed. The burrata antipasti platter is one of the best in the area and the minestrone soup a classic. Save room for dessert, especially the lemon tiramisu with boozy layers of limoncello and rum served with blueberry coulis. Twelve wines on tap, as well as a nice selection of Tuscan vintages, are fine options to go with the food. Service runs like a well-oiled machine with longtime employees adding to the pleasurable dining experience.
