THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES The LAB Brewing Co. Restaurant Review:
Chef Almoez “Moez’ Megji, the man behind West Valley faves Fins and MOZ Buddha Lounge, teams up with brewmaster Roger Bott at this suburban gastropub with a hardly routine menu. In addition to a praiseworthy Wagyu burger with caramelized onions, bacon, arugula, and blue and Gruyère cheeses, there’s a feta- and tzatziki-topped lamb burger, fish ‘n’ chips, pizzas, steaks, and seared ahi with wasabi risotto. Comfort foods like venison-white bean chili and bacon-studded mac ‘n’ cheese are paired with beers from domestic and European craft producers, as well as five varieties brewed on site. A short but interesting California wine list is offered, and desserts range from New York cheesecake to a white chocolate-peanut butter turnover. Huge beer vats comprise much of the scenery at this small shopping center eatery, but some premium tequilas are displayed in glass-enclosed niches while a touch of neon gives the dining room a clubby effect. Brunch on the patio might consist of french toast or eggs paired with polenta or quinoa puttanesca.
