Dining room at L'Agape Bistrot, Paris, franceThe former Le Bistrot de l'Étoile-Niel space --- owned by Bruno Gendarmes and Guy Savoy --- has been taken over and renamed L'Agapé Bistrot. The young Antoine Michelson, previously with Ducasse and Pierre Gagnaire, is in charge of the kitchen. In command of the restaurant is Olivier Lefranc, who was at the mother restaurant Agapé. This bistrot presents a chic décor with red walls, a private room upstairs that can accommodate 12 people, a tiny room in the back overlooking the whole place, and a beautiful terrace that's an ideal place to be in the summertime. Michelson performs a refined and seasonal cuisine, offering dishes such as a gilthead bream carpaccio with yuzu jelly and citrus fruit vinaigrette, a Rossini beef filet with melting and crusty potatoes, and a lemon tart with mango sherbet.
