| Don't be deterred by the décor; don't be put off by the music. Or the location, as a matter of fact, in a nondescript building in a shopping strip. Just focus on the food. Authentic Vietnamese dishes and good service make Lang Van worth the trip. Favorites include goi cuon (fresh summer rolls) and chim cut (crispy quails), both fine for sharing, while entrée highlights include banh xeo (Vietnamese yellow pancake), a vegetarian special, and bun tom, thit nuong, cha gio (vermicelli combination). Servers are happy to help those new to Vietnamese cuisine with suggestions and explanations. And who needs a Red Bull when Lang Van offers the potent café sua da drink that packs a wallop in both the flavor and caffeine departments. |
