Langdon Hall Restaurant Review: Langdon Hall Country House Hotel & Spa in Cambridge was built in the late 1800's as a summer retreat from city life, and it still stands as a secluded estate today. Its restaurant is committed to utilizing locally sourced ingredients, including produce from Langdon Hall's own gardens, so diners can experience unique meals daily. Interesting pairings are offered, like fresh ricotta with zucchini, preserved lemon and toasted hemp seed, or Murray's Farm pork belly, served with apple, pickled mustard seed, watercress and cider, both possibilities during Sunday brunch. The Chef's Tasting Menu is available daily from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., for which chef Jason Bangerter creates dishes inspired by the on-site gardens. This menu also has an optional wine pairing. Menu items change often depending on what is in season --- think Humboldt squid or whey-poached veal.
