At Last Cafe Restaurant Review

: At Last Café seems too dignified-looking to be a diner, but its casual attitude and all-American menu reminds you of a good one. Former hotel chef John McLaughlin turns out solid comfort food, and prices of his generously plated entrées hover around $10. After a nostalgic green goddess salad, consider opting for the brick-flattened grilled chicken (a full half-bird), slow-braised pot roast or a seared pork chop stuffed with apple-herb dressing. Two slabs of Parmesan-flavored polenta are covered with saucy portobello mushroom slices, and a gooey mac ‘n’ cheese is topped with toasted breadcrumbs. For dessert, there’s chocolate bread pudding or apple crumble.
