Openings

The Grand Café at the Palace Station Hotel & Casino is now open. Specials include a two-egg anytime skillet for $3.99, half-pound Angus cheeseburger for $6.99 and rocky road pancakes for $7.99. The café is open 24/7. La Cave Wine and Food Hideaway is now open at Wynn Las Vegas. Executive chef William DeMarco has designed a modern American small plates menu with items divided into categories based on the dishes’ origins: From the Sea, Farm, Oven, Garden, Grill, Butcher, and cheeses From The Cow, Sheep or Goat. Seafood dishes include hamachi with pickled chilies and candied lemon zest; meat options include horseradish and parmesan-crusted rack of lamb; and vegetarian dishes include salt-roasted beets with whipped goat cheese and pistachio. Design elements are intended to make you feel like you’re dining in an exclusive wine cellar and include a glass entryway, rich wood panels, wood oak flooring and Latin phrases that describe food, wine and the arts. A ten-person “share table” features a walnut table perched atop two large wine barrels that allows for intimate wine tastings and special events. La Cave is open for lunch, dinner and late night. Hubert Keller's Fleur de Lys restaurant at Mandalay Bay has reopened with a newly designed menu and its name has been changed to Fleur by Hubert Keller. Small plates showcasing cuisine from around the world are offered, along with Keller's "in the shower" mac & cheese, a dish he created while on Bravo's "Top Chef Masters." Some favorites remain on the menu, such as the truffled onion soup and the FleurBurger 5000. Dessert options of cotton candy, shakes and an assortment of cupcakes are also available. T-bones Chophouse & Lounge at the Red Rock Resort is now hosting a daily happy hour from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Called T-Time, the deal includes a food and cocktail menu with 50 items for $5 each, such as a cotton candy martini, Young’s Double Chocolate Stout, crispy rock shrimp tempura, pulled pork sliders, bacon popcorn, chicken and waffles, and deep-fried Oreos. Ago Now Serving Old World Classic Prix-Fixe Menu
Ago at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has introduced an Old World classic prix-fixe menu. Choices include lasagna, fettuccini alfredo, capellini pomodoro, cheese ravioli and spaghetti with meatballs or sausage. All entrées include a bread basket, soup or salad and a glass of house wine. January is Game Time at Restaurant Guy Savoy
Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace is serving a game menu through the end of January. The La Chasse menu includes wild squab, pheasant, and Mallard duck breast.  All dishes are thinly sliced, served with seared foie gras and accompanied by sautéed wild mushrooms (chanterelle and mousseron) and a light jus made from the roasted bones of the game birds. The Mallard duck breast is slow cooked sous vide with a stuffing under the skin made of the duck liver, delicate spices, butter and bread crumbs and finished in the salamander with a thin layer of the same stuffing and lightly browned. MGM Resorts to Unveil Hangover Cures for New Year’s Day
If you party a little too hard on December 31 the mixologists at MGM Resorts International will offer some cures to help you survive your New Year’s Eve hangover. Bar Moderno at ARIA will offer three options to address the severity of your hangover ($14 each): The Slightly Hung-Over created with Absolut Vodka, ARIA Mary Mix, Tabasco Chipotle and served over ice with a salted rim; the Really Hung-Over, kicked up a notch with Absolut Peppar Vodka, ARIA Mary Mix, sriracha, served over ice and rimmed with salt and red pepper flakes; and Fire in the Hole featuring Herradure Reposado Tequila, ARIA Mary Mix and Tabasco Habanero served up and rimmed with salt and housemade Habanero Dust. Rare 120° Offering Two Weekly Specials
Rare 120° at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is offering two weekly specials. A reverse happy hour starting at 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, during which appetizers are half-off in the bar and lounge, and on Mondays, all food is 50-percent off. The Sporting House Bar & Grill Now Offering Weekly Promotions
The Sporting House Bar & Grill inside New York-New York Hotel & Casino is now offering weekly promotions. Every Wednesday, while competing to win a round of complimentary domestic beers for their table, guests can order a Sporting House burger and a beer for $12. On Fridays, a late-night happy hour from 8 p.m.-closing takes place on the second level, with select appetizers and specialty drinks changing every hour selected by having a random patron throwing a dart at the specialty drink dart board.
