Carla Pellegrino and her sister, Allesandra Madeira, have opened Bratalian Neapolitan Cantina. The name implies a Brazilian/Italian theme, and while the menu is currently strictly Italian, plans are in the works to include Brazilian dishes in the future. Pellegrino is the former executive chef at Rao’s at Caesars Palace. Madeira also worked alongside her sister as sous chef at Rao. Market Café Vdara is now open at the Vdara Hotel & Spa. The market/café is a mix of a casual eatery and a market, and is the only "grocery store" within CityCenter. At the helm is executive chef Martin Heierling, the mastermind behind Bellagio’s Sensi restaurant. Guests have the option of selecting freshly made bagels, pastries, gourmet coffee drinks, hot and cold sandwiches, salads, soups and paninis or groceries to take back to their suites or residences. In addition, an extensive selection of all-natural and organic products are offered, continuing the hotel’s commitment to sustainability. Chef Michel Richard Chef Michel Richard has opened a Vegas version of Central Michel Richard, his Washington D.C. eatery, at Caesars Palace. Located adjacent to the hotel lobby, Central Michel Richard offers 24-hour dining, seating for approximately 300 guests, an outdoor patio terrace and a large lounge with full bar, several beers on tap and specialty cocktails. The food menu features many Central signature items such as Richard's popular burger, 72-hour short ribs and fried chicken. Rí Rá Las Vegas inside The Shoppes at Mandalay Place will be the newest Irish pub to open on the Vegas Strip. Opening on St. Patrick’s Day, the restaurant will feature salvaged material from Ireland and an eight-foot-tall, 500-pound carved plaster statue of St. Patrick dating back to 1850. The pub will host live entertainment seven nights a week, with a majority of the entertainers coming from Ireland. Menu items will include 12-day, in-house brined corned beef brisket; fish and chips made with North Atlantic haddock; shepherd’s pie made with minced lamb; a Guinness barbecue burger and an all-day Irish breakfast with eggs, sausages, rasher, black and white pudding, pan-roasted mushrooms and grilled tomato with toast. Panevino Ristorante Introduces New Vegan and Vegetarian Specials
Panevino Ristorante has introduced several new vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, furthering the Italian restaurant’s commitment to healthy dining and catering to its guests’ dietary needs. Panevino’s executive chef Mario Andreoni created the specials, which include tortelloni tricolori (three-color tortelloni filled with roasted eggplant, yellow squash, zucchini, red bell pepper, asparagus, garlic and onion); orzo pasta salad (with cherry tomatoes, black olives, capers, basil, avocado, grilled asparagus, chopped parsley and extra virgin olive oil); and duo di burger di vegetali e brodo vegetale (vegetable burger made with eggplant, mashed potatoes, porcini and Portobello mushrooms, roasted yellow and red bell peppers and bread crumbs drizzled with white truffle oil).
