THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Lavandou Restaurant Restaurant Review:

As sunny, bright and inviting as a beach cabana on the Riviera, this uptown restaurant is a real find, an underpublicized place that locals obviously treasure. To embrace warm weather, staff members throw open the front windows, making a window seat imperative; you sit inches from passersby, with the sun splashing across the table. That’s at lunchtime, of course, when the menu is less imposing: You’ll find duck liver terrine or a house salad to start, a handful of soups, several unusual sandwiches (such as the fancy grilled tuna with Niçoise olives and drizzles of olive oil on rye bread studded with olives), composed salads and assorted heartier fare such as grilled flank steak or carbonnade. Even if you think you’re sated, ask to see the dessert plate with its colorful array of calorie-laden pastries and tarts.
