Lawry's Carvery Restaurant Review: Lawry's Carvery at downtown's L.A. Live offers hand-carved sandwiches such as the oven-roasted turkey, barbecued beef brisket, and the signature Carvery Prime Rib Original with a bowl of jus. There are also salads and platters of roasted prime rib, roast beef and brisket. Sides like mac ‘n’ cheese, creamed corn, and asparagus with lemon aïoli elevate the experience. Bread pudding with caramel sauce, cookies and crème brûlée are offered for dessert, and a limited selection of beer and wine is available. Make no mistake --- this is not a substitute for the original Lawry’s on La Cienega --- but it is one of the few places at L.A. Live to grab some quality casual fare without spending a lot of money. |
