Wainscoting and stained-glass windows form the perfect high-style setting for a gastronomic rest stop. Diners here are treated like old friends. Gilles Marre is one of those chefs for whom respect for his customers goes hand-in-hand with respect for his ingredients. He takes a few detours from his classic, traditional cuisine, as in the melon gazpacho with duck "ham" and almond oil, or the beef fillet with lime. Lovely desserts, including crème cuite with three flavorings. The well-stocked cellar is rich in local vintages, namely Cahors. Everything here is designed to please.
