Le Bonheur de Chine Restaurant Review

: Le Bonheur de Chine is probably one of the best Chinese restaurants in Paris and its surrounding areas. The attention to ingredients has remained at the highest levels for years. Yongwey Chen proposes live crab sautéed with ginger and scallions, as well as Shanghai ravioli made with wheat flour then quickly sautéed in the wok. There is a feel of high gastronomy in the lobster just barely sautéed in the wok with salt, pepper, garlic and spring onion, and flavored with fresh ginger. But the specialty of the Chen brothers is the Peking duck. First, the roasted skin arrives with thin rice pancakes, secondly the meat sautéed with Chinese noodles, and then the duck soup is served as the high point of this exceptional course. The chef’s spouse, Liyu Chen, beautifully performs the carving of the duck tableside at a guéridon.
