Be among the happy few to brunch at Hôtel de Crillon, for the price of €90. The majestic room of Les Ambassadeurs with its 25-foot ceiling, Baccarat chandeliers, marble in seven different colors, and renovated paintings, loses its intimidating atmosphere for brunch, and becomes a hot-spot for Parisians on Sunday, under the sun rays filtering from Place de la Concorde. Jazzed up by music, the dress code becomes almost casual, the conversations are much more lively and loud, and kids are welcome (€35 under twelve). Your table is dressed up with viennoiseries, lemon cake, bread, vanilla yogurt, fruit salad --- all homemade; coffee, tea, chocolate and fresh fruit juices are served according to your taste. The chef, Christopher Hache, oversees the menu which includes a choice of warm dishes. At the buffet, you can sample smoked salmon, Spanish ham and an interesting selection of cheeses. Of course to finish, a beautiful selection of pastries pleases your eyes and then disappears under your spoon and fork.
