New Orleans fans can rejoice with the opening of Le Krewe, taking the spot where the short-lived Three Ring once had it’s moment on the Valencia corridor of the Mission. Faux alligator heads rest on the bar and Mardi gras beads dangle from overhanging swamp-style foliage in the wildly decorated room. A raw bar, overflowing with oysters, rests at the head of the counter like a sparkling jewel in an already overcrowded crown. Revelers enjoy the spicy shrimp Creole served over grits and the blackened catfish accompanied by red beans and rice. Endeavoring to sample the grilled alligator may require a voodoo spell.
