THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Le Palais du Jardin Restaurant Review: Here is a good place to meet friends and share a large platter of seafood. Other choices range from standard starters such as tomato and goat cheese tart or carpaccio of beef with a truffled vinaigrette, to prawn guacamole with a mango and mint dressing. Main dishes include steaks; more ambitious notions range from lamb sautéed with button onions and mushrooms in mustard sauce, and various ways of cooking lobsters. Service is generally as bright and cheerful as the buzzing crowd of all ages who fill the 350 seats---with more in the café at the front. The back of the balcony is marginally quieter than downstairs and tables at the rail enjoy an entertaining overview of those below.
