 Le Petit Bistro Restaurant Review: If you fantasize about sitting in a lively little bistro on the Left Bank, you'll enjoy Le Petit Bistro. The narrow, crowded space features dark woods, old French ad posters, butcher-paper-covered tables---and lots of people speaking French. We appreciate the authentic French bistro food, which happens to be very reasonably priced. Highlights include black mussels in a white wine broth, onion soup gratinée, roast chicken with pommes frites, and braised lamb shank with couscous and carrots. For dessert, there's the "magic cube" made up of black and white chocolate with raspberry sauce, or classics like a buttery bread pudding or apple tart with caramel sauce. The wine list represents both California and France, with similarly affordable pricing. |
