THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Le Petit Café Restaurant Review:
THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The setting may look like something out of Norman Rockwell, but this bistro, occupying a picturesque little yellow house in Branford, is all Parisian charm. Chef-owner Roy Ip is a true artist in the kitchen, and his skill and passion for every aspect of the culinary experience shines through every dish on the ever-changing four-course prix-fixe menu. Country-style pâté studded with liqueur-soaked cherries is comme il faut; classic cassoulet is the real thing amid all the flashy pretenders so ubiquitous of late. Desserts are likewise straightforward but topnotch, from rum bread pudding to tarte Tatin. In its very traditionalism, Ip's cooking is inspired.
