THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED The tableau here is ever-changing, and can focus on French food one night, then play up inspirations from North Africa, Italy or Greece the next. Or it can spotlight some seasonal specialty like seven-spiced grilled salmon strudel with truffled artichokes and fava beans in a citrus essence. The crisp pomegranate glazed duck was succulent. Of course, you won't go wrong with Le Tableau's French-bistro dishes such as escargots, cassoulet and peppery steak au poivre. Sunday and Monday nights feature a well-priced prix-fixe menu and Tuesday through Saturday nights from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. a chef's tasting menu is available with four, five or seven courses. The solicitous staff blends friendly charm with just enough French attitude to feel authentic.
