Left Bank Restaurant Review

: A French bistro atmosphere achieved via high ceilings, vintage French food and beverage advertising posters, leather bistro chairs and deep booths delivers with modern style. The kitchen, in turn, produces brasserie fare like moules frites with addictive matchstick fries, along with a spicy lamb burger for lunch or dinner. Daily additions add variety: think a seafood tangine and a hearty veal chop. Specialty cocktails are engaging --- the bright pink Seine River cosmo is topped with a lime ginger foam. The wine list offers primarily French selections with some California labels and a modest by-the-glass lineup. Desserts are classic, from a mango panna cotta to profiteroles. Happy Hour is offered daily in the lounge and on the patio from 3 p.m.-6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.-close, except on major holidays.
