The two-level downtown Ste. Catherine branch of the small chain offers a fairly wide assortment of dishes: appetizers like popcorn shrimp and French onion soup, salads, sandwiches and wraps, burgers and bistro fare such as mussels Provencal. An assortment of flammekueche, or open-face pies, is available with a variety of toppings and even comes with the "metre" of beer -- a yard-stick with samples of all the beers brewed on the premises. Apéritifs, Scotch and whiskies and, of course, the house brown, blonde, amber, white and IPA beers complement the fare. The proximity to McGill University results in a sometimes boisterous student crowd, especially around happy hour or when there's a Montreal Canadiens hockey game on.
