Just off the intersection of Hollywood and Vine is Lexington Social House, a hot-spot that has contributed to the area’s revitalization. The space, conceived by designer Thomas Schoos, features five-legged Queen Anne chairs, modern stick-figure art, and a garden patio with a fireplace. The seasonal American fare has included honey-chipotle pork belly, steak tartare, and flatbread with merguez sausage, porchetta and four cheeses. Larger plates range from fried chicken to braised short ribs with creamy polenta. While it’s not particularly extensive, the wine list features some intriguing small producers from around the globe. Most of the hip guests opt for the handcrafted cocktails poured by skilled mixologists. For those considering dessert, there’s panna cotta with seasonal fruit, beignets and ice cream sandwiches.
