Book-lined oasis for dining and conversation in the Alexis Hotel.
THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Library Bistro Restaurant Review:
Don’t feel the need to whisper at Library Bistro. Conversations are permitted, though checking out the books is not --- they’re just for decoration. Appropriate for happy hour or an intimate dinner, the quiet oasis in the Alexis Hotel boasts ten-feet-high bookshelves and floor-to-ceiling windows. The simple but thoughtful menu might include shoestring fries topped with bacon and blue cheese, a wild boar burger and curried crawfish mac ‘n’ cheese. Roasted beet salad with chèvre is another favorite. At lunch, some of these dishes are also served in the Bookstore Bar along with a bar menu. The wine list features Pacific Northwest varietals, but ranges farther afield to California and Europe. Service is gracious and professional.
