THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Lighthouse Fish & Chips Restaurant Review

: The walls are covered with bright, nautical murals at this casual, counter-service spot with indoor and outdoor dining. It’s nice to eat in at lunchtime, but many people opt for take-out at dinnertime. New England clam chowder comes in many sizes and can also be ordered in a sourdough bread bowl. A few seafood salads are available along with sandwiches. But the main draw here is the beer-battered fried fish (halibut or catfish), shrimp, scallops, clams and calamari. These entrées come with tartar sauce, fries and coleslaw. Soft drinks, ginger beer, iced tea and a couple of wines are on offer. There are even a few beers in bottles (like Newcastle and O’Doul’s) to wash it all down. Look for all-you-can-eat dinner specials on Monday and Tuesday nights.

there isn't a selection for minus stars:

I took my wife and daughter there for lunch, it was nearly $30.00 for the 3 of us. When we got our food, the fish my wife and daughter got was disgusting. It is not the good part of the filet they sell. Just to prove my point, we ordered a 2 piece fish and chips meal and they gave us 3 pieces because they are such small pieces. They buy the dregs of the prime portions of the filet. That is why the white cod fish is brown and you can see where the bones were....absolutely disgusting. When we confronted the owner, he basically told us that's too bad and there was nothing he could do. He basically just blew us off and was not offering any type of refund or compensation. Needless to say, we will never return there to eat again.

If your smart and want good fish and chips in Simi Valley, go to "Mr. Fish & Chips" over on Tapo Canyon and Cochran, off of the 118 freway.
Good luck to ya if you go there.
