The loud, smoky bar is the hub of this upscale boîte in German Village---a Georgetown-like red brick enclave that passes for old by Columbus standards. The high ceilings and multi-level dining areas that radiate from the bar's bustle are more Victorian than Old German, however, giving the feeling of a one-time town mansion that's been reconfigured into a business. Entrées to enjoy include sautéed veal medallions, Block Island swordfish, honey-glazed duck and linguine with clams. For dessert, we recommend bananas Foster---crêpes stuffed with white chocolate and mascarpone mousse, brown sugar and banana liqueur. |
