| Some of the best burgers in DC are at Lindy’s Bon Appétit. Best of all, you can pick one of 23 toppings, and if you don’t like beef, you can opt for vegetarian or turkey instead. Don’t skip the fries---they come hot and salty right from the deep fryer. Other fare is available and, if you like, you can head upstairs to the dressier part of the restaurant for indoor seating (same menu) at Lindy’s Red Lion, a favorite pub/hangout. But there’s something so attractively grubby about ordering in the hash-house setting downstairs---you become part of a 25-year-old tradition among GWU students who’ve called this a second home. |
