Line & Lariat Restaurant Review: Inside this grand vintage hotel with high ceilings, yards of polished marble, dramatic Romanesque columns and red velvet-covered chairs, you'll find Line & Lariat restaurant. The modern Texas cuisine ranges from a starter of Gulf crab cakes with rémoulade sauce to mains like roasted pork tenderloin and jalapeño creamed corn, and grilled skirt steak with a three-cheese enchilada. Always opt for the cheddar grits as a side and end your meal with crème brûlée, a chocolate soufflé, or perhaps deconstructed carrot cake. There's also a nice wine and beer list, craft cocktails and special bites and small plates served at the L&L bar until late. The restaurant serves weekend brunch with Bloody Marys and Texas-style Benedicts topped with hot peppers and avocados.
