Literati Bar & Grill (formerly Literati II) resides in a space inhabited by framed photos of authors and screen celebs (this is L.A., after all), a construction of used pencils and even a giant #2 Ticonderoga hanging on the walls. The seasonal contemporary American cooking includes weekend breakfast dishes such as griddle cakes, waffles and omelets. Dinnertime items may range from a Sonoma goat cheese “soufflé” to steak frites, wild king salmon and flatbread pizzas. End the meal with a lemon tart or hot fudge sundae. Beer, wine and cocktails are available.
