Little Pappas Seafood Restaurant Review: Housed in a former gas station and renovated with a retro '40s style, Little Pappas Seafood is decked out with old signage, netting, knick-knacks and even an aquarium filled with nonedible fish, but the counter facing the front door is filled with the catch of the day on ice. Grab a table or a seat at the bar and start with a platter of raw Gulf Coast oysters that go down well with the hot loaf of bread that comes with every meal. Longtime regulars appreciate the nod to the Pappas family’s heritage with the tableside-tossed Greek salad and a few pasta dishes; however, most want the daily seafood specials. We recommend the grilled Rockport redfish topped with lump crab meat, shrimp, fresh herbs and olive oil. There’s also a large platter of fried shrimp and chicken tenders and sides of creamy cheese grits and mushroom risotto. Daily lunch specials are a reasonable way to sample the seafood.
