Little Restaurant Restaurant Review: Sure, you can find all of the traditional Chinese staples on the menu, like a pu pu platter, lo mein and rice dishes. But what distinguishes this basement-level restaurant is its seafood. The small kitchen churns out not-so-common finds like the eggplant and fish hot pot in XO sauce, not to mention the veal chop with black pepper sauce. We also like the health-minded steamed sliced pork with vegetables and the sautéed sea conch with tofu. Crispy and spicy whole fish would pass muster in Hong Kong, as would non-fish dishes such as beef with bitter melon. One thing we'll never understand are the hours --- unlike most Chinatown spots, Little Restaurant closes at 10 p.m. |
