| If you’re looking to sample Vietnamese cuisine, head to Little Saigon in the heart of Orlando's Little Vietnam district. This casual restaurant has more than 100 items on the menu, but don't be overwhelmed. First choose beef, pork, chicken, seafood or vegetarian, then decide if you want rice, vermicelli or a simple broth. We always start with the cold summer rolls, stuffed with noodles, shrimp and vegetables and accompanied by the slightly sweet peanut dipping sauce. A favorite entrée is the bun cha gio thit nuong---grilled pork and spring rolls on rice vermicelli with a crisp salad of bean sprouts and herbs. The servers are helpful if you want to be more adventurous. Try an authentic dish like shrimp paste served on sugar cane with charbroiled meatballs and rice vermicelli. It tastes even better after a bottle of cold, crisp Singha beer. |
