Little Tree Sushi Bar Restaurant Review: Little Tree Sushi Bar offers a variety of dishes hailing from Thailand, Japan and the Philippines. That means sushi, sashimi, seven types of noodles and other Asian culinary options, which give this attractive spot in the heart of downtown Royal Oak its loyal following. Try selections from the sushi bar as well as airy tempura and the nabeyaki udon --- chicken, vegetables, shiitake mushrooms, egg and noodles topped with shrimp tempura, green onions and seaweed, served in a cast iron hotpot. Or, take a trip to Thailand via tom yum, hot-sour tamarind soup with either chicken or shrimp. Then again, you could always indulge in spring rolls and a Filipino rice dish. The pleasant space features a high ceiling with exposed ductwork, bulbous paper lanterns, bare-topped tables and booths along the walls. An unexpected décor element --- Tiffany-style lamps hanging over the booths --- is surprisingly effective. The sidewalk café adds another option, while the bar proposes a good selection of saké and beer in addition to standard cocktails and wine.
