THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED LJ's BBQ Restaurant Review:
Linda and Bernie Watson's barbecue joint moved from dodgy Douglas Avenue in Providence to digs in Pawtucket. At first glance, the storefront location in a plain-vanilla shopping mall lacks the charm of the original standalone building, but step inside, and you'll appreciate the additional space. What hasn't changed is LJ's good ’cue and lip-smacking sides. The Texas beef ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender; the pulled pork makes a satisfying sandwich, especially with some barbecued beans or collard greens on the side. If you're not in the mood for barbecue, select a "fancy" entrée like a grilled pizza. Wash it all down with a flight of small-batch bourbons from LJ's Bourbon Bar, and save a little corner for down-home Southern desserts like pecan pie, Dutch apple pie or sweet potato pie.
