Lobby Bar and Bistro Restaurant Review: Lobby Bar and Bistro offers a jazzy, contemporary décor and a lively bar scene. Noise levels can be pretty high after work, but in the restaurant one still can hear at the table. Breakfast offerings include shrimp and grits in tomato caper sauce that one doesn't typically think of as a morning dish. And we are puzzled at the addition of caraway seed to this simple coastal creation. For lunch, we like the vegetable panino with sides of Caesar salad and a lovely, fresh-tasting take on Mexican tortilla soup, flavored with chunks (instead of more traditional strips) of chicken and lime. The dinner menu lines up the restaurant's take on pizza or a steak. For dessert, go for the cheesecake without the accompanying embellishments. The mostly California wine list features familiar standards but big spenders will want to note the reserve list, which includes such California icons as the Joseph Phelps Insignia for $350.
