Local 149 Restaurant Review

: Named after its support of local farms and paying homage to the firefighter's union, the restaurant offers a comfort-focused menu (think deviled eggs, fried pickles and spiced-up mac ā€˜nā€™ cheese fritters). While the wine list is somewhat limited, there are more than 20 beers on draft. Everything is house-made, including ginger beer and tonic water. Start with a Harpoon dry Irish stout paired with crispy pork belly or cheese steak sliders. Standout dinners include London broil "pile up." For dessert, try something different, like the fried fluffernutter. The only drawback is the cozy tables that are just too small for the enormous plates of food.
