THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Lomo Restaurant Review:

Swinging Chelsea says salud to jumping Madrid or bounding Barcelona in this super tapas bar. Lively young(ish) people crowd into a room accommodating only 48 on bright orange-backed steel chairs at tables and pillars. Super tapas are raciones, twice the size of ordinary tapas and some involving several ingredients. Cantabrian anchovies come with toast and shallots; lomo embuchado is smoked pork loin with goat cheese, roast peppers and tapenade wrapped in soca, a thin rolled pancake. Olives and fresh capers come with bread, and there are some more substantial dishes such as sizzling chicken with parsley and garlic, or fillet steak hogazas (sandwiches) with rocket and manchego cheese. The £5 lunch menu offers any three from six items which might be grilled mackerel, Serrano ham, escalivada (marinated roasted vegetables), green salad, and patatas bravas or allioli. Breakfast delicacies include the expected churros, and scrambled egg with unexpected real caviar from Spain. Interesting wines, mostly under £17, are mostly Spanish, and the true Andalusian taste can be indulged with fino sherry or Manzanilla from chilled half-bottles. Service is friendly but not exaggeratedly Spanish so orders arrive well before ma-ana.
