With dark wood booths and vintage décor, Lorn & Dottie's is more attractive than the average diner. Its downtown location makes it convenient for office workers and visitors staying in nearby hotels. The menu is about as conventional as it gets: banana pecan pancakes and homemade banana bread are best bets for breakfast. We like the hearty scrambles, such as the "Greek eggs" with feta, olives and spinach. Lunchtime isn't as satisfying with an uninspiring array of sandwiches, soups and salads. On the plus side, constantly refilled coffee mugs will keep you buzzing.
