Los Carboncitos Restaurant Review

: The Denver landscape is littered with taquerias, but none can hold a candle to Los Carboncitos, a bare-bones, lemon yellow homage to the foods of Mexico City: street tacos, alambres, huaraches and tortas, all of which are accompanied by a caddy of freshly made fiery salsas blistered with lingering heat. Tortillas are made onsite in the bustling open kitchen, and the top-notch ingredients, many of which are imported from Mexico, belie the incredibly cheap prices. There's no liquor license, but there are a slew of Mexican sodas, including Mexi-Coke, along with aguas frescas and horchata, to accompany your feast. And if you're a fan of soccer, the TVs are always tuned to a game, with plenty of patrons rooting for their home league. Note that there are two additional locations: 722 Sheridan Blvd. and 15210 E. 6th Ave., the latter of which boasts a full bar.
