| If you drop by on Sunday for a hearty repast, youll find that you and plenty of others have sat down to one of the restaurants remarkably popular and inexpensive dishes. Most dishes are Salvadoran, although the menu does have a Mexican component, where youll find hefty burritos of beef, chicken or beans or combos thereof, plus enchiladas, fajitas and assorted seafood dishes. Of the latter, it seems everyone orders the mariscada, a seafood soup chock-full of lobster meat, shrimp, clams and scallops. Its a whopping order, enough to share, and that allows you to sample the nachos, taquitos and the chili relleno, Salvadoran style. Dont forget the dessert selection: The flan is outstanding and, for the uninitiated, the Salvadoran chilate con nuegado is a special treat. Its a lively group and often noisy---everyone is having a fiesta. |
