Good, authentic and inexpensive soft taco stands in New York are rare, so Los Dos is a welcome, if funky, addition. Stuffed with carnitas (fried pork), barbecued goat, or pork skin in green sauce, the folded soft tacos at $2 each are a steal. Platters of chicken in pipian sauce, or enchiladas con mole poblano arrive heaped high, along with tortillas, rice and beans, and cost only $7. Dishes like posole and stewed-chicken tostadas are served on weekends only. Los Dos Rancheros also sells a wide selection of Mexican beers and sodas.
