THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Lounge @ astra Restaurant Review:

Charlie Palmer has come to town, but rather than making a splash on the foodie scene, Palmer has chosen to spread his gospel to the artistic set by creating a casual, caféteria-like eating space in L.A.’s premier design center. Urban to the nth degree, The Lounge is viewed as a chic oasis in the neighborhood of trend-setting artists and designers. Specializing in take-out, catering and events, The Lounge also offers a casually contemporary café space for quick lunch meetings and comfort-food fixes. Able to order both food and drink at the bar, customers can choose from a wide variety of gourmet salads and sandwiches like turkey and brie with apple compote on walnut bread, or roasted beets with goat cheese, grapefruit and a citrus dressing. Entrées are simple; angel hair with basil pesto, grilled soy and ginger chicken breast, and a grilled portobello with roasted seasonal vegetables are among the highlights. After working hours, the lounge area is the place to be if you can fit in with West Hollywood’s tres chic. In a merge of Cocktail meets The Jetsons, the comfortable yet high-concept bar could only exist nowhere in the center for design.
