THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Lowcountry Restaurant Review:

Set in the seemingly cursed space that has seen numerous restaurants come and go (including Bar Blanc), this 60-seat eatery focuses on the cuisine of South Carolina and Georgia. The layout remains largely the same---a long bar and comfy booths flank the room---and the walls have been given the rustic treatment, most notably one section is stacked with old LPs. The menu is divided between snacks, small plates and mains, and each one has something worth crowing about: from the gooey fried trotter tots, crispy catfish tacos and unctuous mac ‘n’ cheese to the heart-attack-inducingly good fried chicken biscuit (with ham country gravy) and the warm horseradish-accented skirt steak. Wash it all down with a Dixie beer. Lowcountry very well may break the curse.
