A restaurant with a kitschy Asian décor and Asian drag-queen waiters (or do we call them waitresses)? Okay, Lucky Cheng’s isn't a restaurant to which you'd take your grandmother (there’s a high noise level), but you can have a lot of fun here. In fact, many celebs do, as the copies of tabloids posted out front attest. Surprisingly, the food is better than simply adequate: dip your crackling crisp-fried calamari into passion fruit dipping sauce and then savor the seared guava-yuzu scallops served with a radish sprout salad. For a small fee, you can have your own private drag queen perform at your table.
