The Stafford has long been a favorite hotel for Londoners and visitors. The American Bar continues on as popular as ever. The Lyttelton is done in ivory and gray, enlivened by lots of flowery fabrics and art on the walls. The cooking steers a British course, using as many local and regional seasonal products as possible. So go the traditional route with Dorset crab and mango ravioli. Suffolk pork belly with caper purée makes an appearance, as does another main dish of smoked beef sirloin complemented by a small Yorkshire pudding. For dessert, there’s a strawberry soufflé and a white chocolate panna cotta. The wine list is excellent and service is attentive. 2-course lunch £19.12, 3 courses £24.12.
