| This meatier offshoot of the seafood-based McCormick & Schmick's group offers DC and suburban diners a men’s grill kind of experience, but without the cigar smoke. Instead, for example, the Reston location attracts the young, hip and well-heeled for a casual pub-like meal. But the addition of executive chef Alison Swope adds an element of sophistication, for she is subtly changing the menu from hunky beef dishes to a mix of fine seafood as well as beef and chicken entrées. We zero in on the blackened mahi mahi with a dressing of corn relish, a satisfying main course for the seafood lover. If you are a devout meat-eater, try the 18-ounce cowboy steak, or for smaller appetites, the nine-ounce filet. Appetizers include trendy offerings such as the chop salad with bacon and smoked mozzarella and a less trendy French onion soup.
