A loft-style building once housing an early twentieth century munitions factory turned plastics manufacturing company and now refurbished to reveal its original brick and wood structure is the location for MacMenamin's. The American cuisine is served in the elegant and spacious setting of exposed pillars of natural wood complementing hardwood floors and brick walls. Large windows flood the room with sunlight by day while lamps softly illuminate the space come evening. The menu includes a bouillabaisse Provençal and sea bass in a spicy tomato-based broth that is classically prepared. The lamb shank osso buco with mattignon vegetables and creamy polenta is hearty and rich; again, a classic rendition of the Italian favorite. Wild berry cheesecake with raspberry coulis may be among desserts.
