Macrina Bakery & Cafe Restaurant Review: Leslie Mackie’s Macrina Bakery provides many of Seattle's finest restaurants with breads, cakes and pastries. This once funky Belltown space has been transformed into a more serene and sophisticated café where people wait in line on weekends for breakfast and lunch. A sweet, yeasty morning roll paired with a Macrina latté is an excellent way to start the day. Lunch features a selection of grilled panini, scratch-made soups and salads. We also like the savory galette packed with roasted fennel, red peppers and toasted pine nuts; the selection of quiches; and the three cheese mac ‘n’ cheese packed with roasted leeks. Weekend brunch features scrambled eggs with salmon, crème fraîche and chives atop lightly-toasted brioche. Cookies range from apricot and ginger to chocolate chip. Other locations. |
