Pakoras (chickpea batter encasing vegetables or chicken and chiles) or samosas (lamb turnovers) are nice starters at this family-owned establishment specializing in southern Indian cuisine. Twelve meatless entrées make the best of vegetables, lentils and paneer: be sure to try the eggplant curry. Dishes from the tandoor oven, whether chicken, prawns or lamb, also satisfy. The restaurant is plain, but the staff is extremely gracious. An on-site store features ingredients for making favorite Indian dishes at home.
