THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Madre's Restaurant Review:

Don't come to Madre's looking for its famous owner, Jennifer Lopez, who rarely makes an appearance. But the well-dressed young professionals hanging out at the busy bar, sipping mojitos and nibbling on croquetas, seem to be having a pretty good time, with or without J. Lo. The whitewashed, lacy dining room---clearly the product of a woman's touch---is illuminated by a multitude of candles and crystal chandeliers but not designed for quiet conversation. The menu, whose cover resembles a cigar box, offers largely Cuban fare. The ropa vieja, arroz con pollo, garlicky whole fried snapper and tres leches cake are all respectable but much pricier than at many of the endearing no-frills Cuban eateries (translation: Versailles) we frequent.
