Magic Lamp Lebanese Mediterranean Grill Restaurant Review

: This Belmont Shore restaurant provides an escape to the Middle East with authentic foods from throughout the region. Starters, or mezze, include falafel, sujuk (spicy Armenian sausage), and hummus that can be topped with chicken shwarma. Dishes made from certified halal meats include kebabs with filet mignon, chicken or lamb. Seafood is also offered, in the form of salmon and shrimp kebabs, or grilled trout with a classic lemon-caper sauce. Specialties from around the Middle East are showcased, such as a beef kafta dumpling casserole from Syria and lamb kabsa from Saudi Arabia. For dessert, you’ll find baklava topped with Nutella, kunefeh (pastry with sweet cheese and orange blossom) and chocolate mousse cake. The dining room features exotic Moorish design elements and the crowd is often festive. A very reasonably priced wine list offers bottles and glasses from around the globe, including Lebanon.
